I bought this product because I have been nursing and pumping since my son was born, and he is now 8 months old.I had been using the battery pack a lot in the car and decided I could save money by just buying the lighter adapter to use instead of wasting so many batteries.I found this lighter adapter to be weak in power compared to the batteries and the AC Adapter.I have yet to use it and get any decent amount of milk.With batteries and the AC adapter, I can pump for 10 minutes on one side and get 4 or 5 ounces.I would not recommend buying this because it does not have enough power.Click Here to see more reviews about: Medela 9V Vehicle Lighter Adapter
