This is a great inexpensive manual pump!The lactation counselor at the hospital where my son was born actually gives this pump to moms after one month of successful breastfeeding.It is easy to use, very comfortable, and easy to take apart for cleaning and re-assemble.This pump is perfect for a mom that wants to pump daily to have extra milk stored for someone else to give baby a feeding, or to use to make cereal when baby is older.I would not recommend this pump if you plan to use it more than once a day, just because it would get old using it, washing it, and putting it back together every time.But if once or twice daily use is what you have in mind, this is the pump for you!

Review of O-cal-ette Nursing Cup

I expected these to be a rubber-type material so as to help my hurting nipples- to keep my bra from putting pressure on my sensitive nipples. Instead, they are hard plastic and put too much pressure on my breasts. They were uncomfortable. The basic design is good (shape, size, fact that they catch leakage,etc) but the hard plastic is no good!

Review of The First Years Breastflow 9-oz Bottle, 3-Pack

This is the most wonderful bottle for breastfeeding EVER!! We have tried every type of bottle on the market with my 3 month old son and he would not take any of them. I heard about this bottle and ran right out to get one, although I wasn't too hopeful. I got the 5 oz size. I warmed my pumped breastmilk and my husband put the nipple in his mouth. He took it immediately, with absolutely no complaints at all. Also, he went right back to the breast for the next feeding with no problems.

I am amazed and so excited. I can now leave the house for more than 1.5 hours without the baby and be assured that he will not starve!

Review of Playtex Nursing Necessities Soothing Gel Pads 6 Count

these were by far my least favorite of the gel pads. I tried Medela, Gerber, Platex and Ameda. The Platex ones were just really gooey and messy. It took a while to get all the residue off before nursing. They were relieving, but not even in the same ballpark as the others. I HIGHLY recommend the Ameda ComfortGel hydrogel pads. They last MUCH longer, absolutely no mess or stickiness like the others and are so soothing - especially if you keep them in the fridge between uses like the lactation consultant at the hospital recommended to me

Review of Ameda Breast Shells To Protect Nipples - 1 Pair

Unless you have a body made perfect for nursing and never get sore nipples, you need these or a product like it. You have to get the absorbent pads to put in them though or empty them regularly, if they have free milk in them it sloshes around and you can't bend over or anything because it leaks out the vents holes int he top. But i don't know of any product that serves the same purpose and doesn't do this.

Review of Nipple Cream

Our son had the most horrible case of cradle cap.The pediatrician's office suggested this cream.Don't be fooled by the photo, the jar is very small, but the salve is very concentrated.The texture and color looks like vaseline, but actually is much thinner when spread on, and absorbs easier.There is only the faintest smell, and not mediciney either.The ingredients contain shea butter and calendula.

It has really helped with the cradle cap, severely diminishing the horrible weeping/scaling/flakiness of the condition.

Review of Medela 9V Vehicle Lighter Adapter

I bought this product because I have been nursing and pumping since my son was born, and he is now 8 months old.I had been using the battery pack a lot in the car and decided I could save money by just buying the lighter adapter to use instead of wasting so many batteries.I found this lighter adapter to be weak in power compared to the batteries and the AC Adapter.I have yet to use it and get any decent amount of milk.With batteries and the AC adapter, I can pump for 10 minutes on one side and get 4 or 5 ounces.I would not recommend buying this because it does not have enough power.

week return policy it has a button on it where you can record your baby cry'in or

it on, I think your senses need to be in it. My mom said just the sound of a
baby crying would make her let-down it didn't matter if it was her baby or not

I truly don't even know how to begin singing enough praise about this breast pump, so beware this is a long one!

I have to be honest, I purchased this on a whim because I was going to buy the Medela Pump in Style Advanced.The only reason I didn't was because the salesgirl at Babies R Us told me this was a much better pump for a more reasonable price.I had to agree!

The only thing that made me nervous about this purchase was the fact that with my first child I used the manual Avent and had many traumatic experiences.What I mean is, I literally would cry each time I had to pump.I would sit down for the task all geared up and would get 3-4 oz out of both breasts combined, but it took 1 hour.I absolutely loathed pumping and got an upset stomach just thinking about it.Therefore, I just wasn't sure that this pump would have enough "juice" in it to do the trick.

Well, let me tell you, THIS PUMP IS AMAZING!The day I got home from the hospital with our daughter I absolutely had to pump.I was so engorged I thought I might explode.My husband sat with our daughter and watched in sheer awe as I pumped 4 oz out of my left breast in 5 minutes flat.And let me further tell you, it was a darn good thing he was there because I would have overflowed the bottle had he not shouted a cry of warning.I couldn't believe it, I truly thought that this wonderful pumping experience must have been a fluke.But it wasn't!The next day the same thing, and every day that I have pumped after have been joyous, nearly overflowing experiences.I am proud to say that I have been able to build a supply already in my freezer of breastmilk in just one month. Something I was never able to do with our first child.

Review of Freemie Hands-Free Concealable Breast Pump Collection System

Several months ago I was looking for a product I was not sure even existed - something that would allow me to pump comfortably in my office with a glass door rather than go to a nasty dark file room (provided to me when I was nursing my oldest son) or ran home on my lunch break. After numerous Google and Amazon searches, I discovered this new product - freemie. I cannot be happier. Essentially it allows me to pump completely hands free and with my clothes on. It is perfect for pumping in a semi private office, like mine, a cubicle (you might want to put music on to cover the sound of a pump), or a car.
Con: Freemie makes you look like you are wearing a wonder bra. I usually wear a sweatshirt on top of my regular form fitting clothes.

Review of Medela Breastmilk Storage and Feeding Set

I bought these for I needed more bottles to store freezer breastmilk. If you are going to use them also for feeding I found the nipples to flow to quickly for my little one. I used a different bottle for feeding and wish I would have gotten nestmom.com website before purchasing as I got their mother milkmate storage system for 27.00. It includes 10 5oz bottles and a handy rack for the freezer keeping oldest milk in front. The 27 also includes shipping - The bottles fit on both medela and ameda breast pumps. It is well worth the money and wish I hadn't bought the medela bottles as they are no longer being used.

Review of Playtex Petite Electric Breast Pump

Invest in a pump with features that are better customized.This pump does not achieve maximum milk flow.

*Update* after a little over a week of using this pump twice per day it has totally konked out.The suction stopped working.I will contact Playtex and see what they can do about it.

*Update* Playtex is sending me new tubing and another motor.This seems to be a common problem with this pump.Save your money and purchace another pump.I would change my rating to one star if I could.

Review of Sensible Lines Milk Trays

After reading the reviews here I opted to buy these trays despite the complaints about the lids not fitting tightly. I really do like the concept, and the sales reps at my local maternity store indicated they had not heard any complaints about them so I figured I would just try them and be careful with handling.

What I found was that the lids fit great the first time you use the trays, but after one freezing cycle, good luck on ever getting them to snap fully closed again. I was super careful when moving the trays with ill-fitting lids, but I would venture to say that it is nigh impossible to keep from having some degree of spilt milk while transferring from kitchen counter to freezer. The trays wound up being more of a pain than they were worth, especially since you cannot put them in the dishwasher either. (Ironically the literature says that to do so will warp them - gee, I guess they forgot to mention that they would get warped in the freezer??) I soon discontinued using these trays. Instead, I ordered 2.5 oz Medela storage bottles and they work great in the freezer and are a convenient size to defrost.

I may try these trays again when it's time to freeze pureed foods - at least they won't spill like milk.

This is a good one hand pump.I have used the Medela pump in the past, but it is difficult to use with one hand.If you are trying to take advantage of baby nursing on one side and pumping the other, this pump works perfectly.The quality isn't on the high end, but it definitely does the job and I prefer it over my Medela hand pump.

Review of Playtex Nursing Necessities Embrace Deluxe Double Electric Breast Pump System

I purchased the Playtex Embrace because I thought it looked like a more comfortable pump. I returned to work and within a week of pumping with the Embrace, my milk supply began to decrease. I also has blisters from the breast shield. I went to a breastfeeding support group at my local hospital and the lactation consultant suggested I go buy a Medela. I purchased the Medela and within a few days, my supply had increased. My baby is now 5 months old and still nursing, thanks to the Medela. Bottom line, go with what has been around and proven for longer....Medela. There are also so many more options with Medela that Playtex does not offer. I had to get larger breast shield cones, but they were stocked at Babies R Us. If you are thinking about The Playtex Embrace, I would advise you to consider Medela. They were the same price at Babies R us....Playtex is cheaper at Amazon, but you get what you pay for. I am not one for promoting someone's products, but this is something very important. I bought this because of the reviews I've seen at various websites. There is the added plus that the tubing for this pump never touches the breastmilk! all you have to do is clean the flanges. The ability to vary the cycles and the suction pressure is wonderful and I can easily pump out both sides in 10 minutes (which can add up to 8oz). Also, the pump will easily attach itself to any standard-sized bottles (the regular neck size, not wide-necked) - I use evenflo glass and plastic bottles with this pump with no problems. I highly recommed this pump!
