A friend turned me onto this product after I complained that the plastic bags I'd been using to store milk were a total mess from the leakage and cumbersome to handle, especially when transferring from the pump bottle to the bag.This system saves me that step and makes the whole concept of `storing milk' a piece of cake. I actually have 2 sets - one that I keep in the fridge and one that I keep in the freezer.I particularly love the `first in, first out' method of retrieval, since the bags had a tendency of co-mingling and I'd have to rummage through, wasting time and getting annoyed.Having an infant is exhausting - I can't believe I even have time to write this review - but I want other moms to know that this product makes life easier.Another blessing is the simple transfer from being able to attach the bottle to the pumping station then to fridge/freezer then to my child - there's no extra bag or liner to hassle with - the same bottle I use to capture the milk is the same bottle I use to feed my baby - what could be better than that?? FYI this battery pak uses 10 AA batteries (not 8), but I think it is more powerful than my old battery pak. It also says it's for the Pump in Style Advanced on the pak, but it works with my Pump In Style backpack/traveler. This does not come with the microfiber case (in product description). I didn't need one, but I didn't want people ordering to expect one! VERY VERY fast shipping!!

Review of Medela Pump and Save Storage Bags 50-pk.

I found these bags to be hard to tear straight on the perforation.Also, they have a very small area to write on.They do stand up and seal well and are pretty easy to attach to the breast shields.I was using the Medela bottles to pump in and then putting it into the Gerber storage bags.I thought it would be easier to pump straight into the bag while at work, but later realized that pumping straight into the bag does not allow you to get an accurate measurement of how much milk you have pumped.So, I am back to pumping into the bottles and then using these bags for storage.I think I will just buy the cheaper Gerber bags when these are gone.

Review of Evenflo Comfort Select Manual Breast Pump

The pump has poor suction compared to a very old Pur manual model my wife was using.Also, the flimsy construction is prone to having the pump valve dislodge. After replacing it, it never again allowed full range of pumping motion and suction was further decreased.Avoid if possible.

This pump is awful! I kept increasing the power because I couldn't feel any suction, until it was all the way out, at which point it hurt me (and somehow there still was no proper suction). I went back to using my manual pump. Plus, having to use your finger to create suction for an electric pump is just stupid!

This pump is REALLY slow, and absolutely KILLS your hand. For about the same price get the Avent Isis manual pump, it is WAAAAAAY faster and because of the massaging petals you get way more milk per pump, so it doesn't hurt your hand. I haven't found that it hurts my hand at all, because you use it for way less time and have to pump far less often.

I did not believe myself to have large nipples, but I was frustrated at how little milk I was getting with the standard size breastshield, even with a hospital-grade pump (the Symphony).A lactation consultant suggested I try a larger breastshield.Indeed, these bring a little more breast into the cylinder which has resulted in slightly more milk being expressed.I also tried the SoftFit, which didn't do a thing for me.These are worth a try even if you don't think you have "large" nipples.

This is my second breast pump.The first one I had was electric and I used it maybe a doz. times.First of all it made my nipples very sore because the suction was so vigoreous and I had no way to really control it and second, the motor died on me.Having a manual one is nice because you can control the vacuum to whatever feels comfertable. And this one in particular has many different settings.The silicone piece that fits inside the horn is SO comfertable and massages you while you are pumping.The nipple to the bottle is perfect for my little nurser. It is shaped just like a real nipple and the flow is perfect. The assembly is extremely easy along with washing! The only thing that I do not like about this product is that my hands get tired from pumping.But I guess that is expected when you pump manually. <br />WAY TO GO EVENFLO<br />Hope this helps!!!

Review of Ameda Nurture III Double Electric Breast Pump

This breast pump is exactly what i was looking for. i tried one other before this that didnt have enough suction and you could not control it. This pump has an amazing amount of suction that YOU control by lifting your finger off of a valve(when you want it to release), then placing it back on when you want the suction to start again conviently located where you need to hold the bottle anyway. i loved being able to control how much suction i was getting. it made pumping go by very quickly. mine came with a year warranty, and i am now using it for my second child. My first child is now 3 and it still works after all that time. the company also has a website that lets you order individual parts if you want to replace them. you could easily give this away to a family member without having to use any of the same parts that your breastmilk touched. you can just give them the motor and to order a whole new set is $35. would recommend to everyone!

I love using this product. I use it every time after pumping and it makes me feel cleaner.

I did find the pads huge though so at first I cut them in half. Cut in half, they still seemed large for just a quick wipe, so I cut them into quarters and that is working out perfectly for me. Since I'm pumping 3 times a day while at work, this makes the pads last even longer. I put the cut pads in a ziploc baggie in my pump bag and refill the ziploc when I need more instead of carrying around the large tub. Cut into quarters these pads are well worth the price.

I've exclusively breastfed by pumping for over a year now using the Medela Lactina.The product advertised here is the kit only, NOT the breastpump.That means the white and yellow pieces are included, not the big blue box - the pump is much more expensive.It can be rented from your hospital or purchased for about $800.The kits however do eventually wear out, especially if it gets used as much as mine has the gaskets in the piston wear out and the tubing gets tattered.Getting an average of about 4 hrs/day usage for over a year I've worn out one piston and have the second broken in but lots of life left in it.It's nice to be able to replace it all to keep it working the best you can.If you use a Pump in Style this includes the Personal Fit connectors, tubing, shields, valves, membrane and bottles, plus an extra piston you won't need to use.You can use the piston like a manual pump but it's very difficult to hold the attachments to yourself and work the piston at the same time.It may be cheaper to buy a kit than each of these pieces separately if you want an extra set.

Review of Custom Breast Flanges with Insert

I purchased this set of Ameda shields when I dropped and broke one of the shields for my Lansinoh double pump. After searching MANY websites, this set was the best value since it came with two flanges instead of one, for the same price as a single flange on other sites. I didn't realize they had bigger horns until I received them. Now that I am using the bigger horns, I find my pump sessions to be MUCH more comfortable and I don't need my suction to be as high. I can't say I get more milk though, but this is not a problem for me as I am a good producer anyway. I wish I had purchased them sooner (I am in my 5th month of pumping for my 8 month old). Definately worth it if you need a spare or replacement. I don't use the inserts, so I can't say if they are valuable or not.

What a relief to finally find Breastshields that are big enough so my nipples don't rub and chafe against the sides while pumping! Even the XL, which start off big enough, were too small by the end of each pumping session. I was only a B cup before I got pregnant, a D cup now -- I don't know what women with even bigger breasts end up using, but these were perfect for me.

Review of Lansinoh Breastmilk Storage Bottles

We bought these bottles to use with our Medela PIS and Ameda Purley Yours Breast Pumps, yes, we bought both. We chose to use these bottles since the Medela 5 oz bottles cost a bit more, and the Ameda bottles are not BPA free. The Lansinoh bottles work great with both brands! The only thing I don't like is that the caps are two piece caps and the Medela Bottles have the solid one piece lids. I just use my 80ml Medela bottle lids with these since we are no longer using them anyway, and they work great and there are no pieces to loose. You can put any standard bottle nipple ring on the bottles so you don't have to change bottles if you don't want too, and you can just throw some nipples and rings already put togehter in a zip bag and throw them in your diaper bag for later. You can also find the Lansinoh storage bottles here on amazon in the 8 and 12 pks!! Hope this helps.

a very useful gadget! i don't have a room at work, where i can relax and pump in privacy and comfort. that's where my minivan comes in! i sit in the back seat turn on calming music and pump. and, of course, none of it would be possible without this great adapter!!!! it's long enough to stretch all the way to the back of a van. if you're in that line of work where there's no conditions for pumping (supermarkets, restaurants, etc.), this product is just right for you! i highly recommend it!!!!!!!!!

Review of Breast Milk Alcohol Test Kit

Product worked fast, and seemed accurate based on the 4 bottles that I tested (two I suspected had alcohol, the other not). My husband accidently mixed a clean bottle with a potentially contaminated one, and the strips even picked up the alcohol in the mixed one. Gives a mother peace of mind. Seems a little pricey for what you get (I bet it costs pennies to make these), but I still like them. That's the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5.
